Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney was born in Croxteth, Liverpool on 24 October 1985. He made his Premiership debut for Everton as a sixteen year old, althought he looked older. This was on the opening day of the 2002/03 season in a match against Tottenham. He soon became Everton´s youngest ever goal scorer. His nickname is „Roonaldo“ after the Brasilian and Real Madrid star Ronaldo. He played for England against Australia in February 2003. He then made history as the youngest ever goal scorer for England – aged just 17. In 2002 he won the BBC´s Young sports personality of the year. There is an obvious danger that all the media interest could affect this young man. In 2004, he was sold to Manchester United.
