New York is the largest city in the United States. It has many famous monuments, such as the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building. New Yok is also famous for it's many bridges, tunnels, and skyscrapers.

Housing:
When students or immigrants choose to come to New York, they often choose apartments. Other than being cheaper, the apartment is also more convenient to the student's school. The student or immigrant doesn't really need a house if he or she is living alone. But when starting a family, the person must think about buying a house. Growing children need a place to play around and have privacy. All members of the family must feel comfterable and have their own space to do private things.

Transportation:
When living in New York, it is a great disadvantage having a car. There is no space to park and the roads are crowded and full. That is why many people living in New York City use the New York transit system. The transit system includes the subway and bus. Most people take the bus to a stop near the subway station. Then they buy a ticket and take the subway to their location of choice. The transit system in New York is very convenient and cheap.

New York is also famous for it's sports. Football and baseball are considered to be America's national sports. There are 2 New York baseball teams, the Yankees and Mets. There are also two football teams, the Giants and Jets.
