It's a federation of 6 states:New South Wales,Victoria,Queensland,South Australia,Western Australia
and Tasmania and 3 teritories:Northern Territory,Corral Sea Islands Territory,Capital Territory with
Canbera.Australia is a monarchy within the British commenwealth and the british Queen it's his head
represented in Australia by a governer.The real power is excercised by the federal parliament and
the goverment.In 1770 captain Cook discovered the eastern coast of Australia and landed in Botany
Bay.In 1788 a british convict colony was founded there,which grow up into the largest city-SYDNEY.
Sydney has 3mil. inhabitans.It's busy,financial,industrial and cultural center with many factories,
number of theatres,concert halls,sports facilities and the oldest university on Australias soil.Sydney
is one of the best seaports and airports.Harbour bridge which is very high over the sea level and the
modern building at the edge of the sea is Operahous projected by swedish architekt.There are many
beaches over 30.All the beaches are easily accestible by a car or public transport.The beaches and
sea provide excellent water sports-swimming ,surfing.Swimmer must prevent collisions with sharks.
CANBERA: the federal capital,the newest city.It was built after argues between Sydney and Melbourne.It's the seat of parliament and government.It has about 1/4mil. inhabitans.MELBOURNE:
second largest city.It hes 2.7mil. inhabitans.It's busy.....city.It's also commercial centre.Summer
olympic games were held in Melbourne.Another large centres are>Bristone,Perth,Adelaide=anual
festivals of arts.DARWIN:It hes 43 000 inhabitans.One of the important city in the north in tropical
zone.In 1974 it was devasted by a cyclone and it has been rebuild quickly.ALICE SPRINGS:small
town in the centre of Australia.It's tourist atraction because being geografical centre of Australia.
AYERS ROCK:tourist atraction.300 km from Alice Springs.It's gigant rock formation=monolite.It's
3.5km long and 600m high.PERTH:one of the big city situated on west coast of Australia.It's important seaport....HOBART:the capital of Tasmania.It's the second oldest city behind Sydney.

There are preserved historical buildings from 18.century.Centre of food,paper and poligrafic industry.
TASMANIA:is a major producer and exporter of tined food.Most of the Australian people are of british
or irish descent.The number of original inhabitans Aborigines has declined.There are only 40 000 and in reservations.Australia is highly developed industrial agricultural country.There are over 130mil. sheep,25mil. cattle.Australia is the higgest producer of:wool,weat,sugar-came and fruits.
The highest mountains are Australian Alps,with the highest peak Mount Kosciusco.It's 220km from
Melbourne skiing slopes provide excellent winter sports.There are a lot of deserts and 2 types:stony and sandy.Lake Eucumbene is a large water reservoir.The typical tree of Australia is eucalyptus.

270 000km2 and population is 3mil.It consists of two island,north and south.70% of population live
on north island.There are activ vulcanoes,hot springs and geysers in the north island and glaciers
in south island.It's member of commenwelth....The original inhebitans are Maories they are only 8%.
WELLINGTON:is a capital of New Zeland and a busy seaport.New Zeland is a wealthy country.It
produces wool,mutton,skins,butter and another daisy products.
