With severe floods several schools had to be closed for uncertain time.

On Monday morning people of Manhattan area woke up into terrible morning. When they looked out of their windows they could see a terrible picture of flooded streets. The weather forecast predicts continuoues heavy rains and therefore the heads of all schools decided to close down all the schools. They urged parents to listen to local radio stations for information on school openings and closures. The closures of schools will continue if the severe weather creats a hasard for students and school stuff. „Radio stations will be notified by 6 a.m. every morning whether schools will be closed or open,“ said Mr. James.
