Dear Jane,

It was good to hear your voice on the phone today, and I thought I´d write immediately to say thank you for inviting me to yours 21st birthday party. I would love to come. The dates you suggest are fine for me. I´ll come by train, but I don’t know Bratislava very well. Could you come and give me a lift, please? The train will come at 2 p.m. And there is the second problem too. The party will probably take to 10 p.m. and it is too late to go home alone. I will be grateful to you if you let me stay at night. Do you know that John will come home in June? He spent a couple of weeks on business. We are trying to sell our flat and buy a small house nearer his office in Nové Mesto nad Váhom.

It would be wonderful to see you again and hear your news too. Give my regards to all your family, I haven’t seen them for such a long time.
