Author is Charles Dickens. Charles Dickens was born in Landport, Hampshire on February 7, 1812. He belongs to the English realistic writers. He had a very hard life. He worked in factory when he was child. His most famous novels are: Small Dorrit, David Copperfield, Memories of the Pickwick Club, Oliver Twist, Big Hopes, Hard Times and many others.
Title is Christmas carol. Main characters are Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge’s nephew Fred, Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
The story is about Ebenezer Scrooge. He is very mean and he doesn’t like Christmas. On Christmas Eve the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley visits him. He tells Scrooge that he will be haunted by three spirits. These spirits, the ghost of Christmas past, present and future show him errors in his past, present and future life. Scrooge has changed. He sends a Christmas turkey to his clerk Bob Cratchit and spends Christmas day with his nephew Fred and his family. Scrooge became a good man.
