This is the story about a farmer and his wife, and the pigs that came home from market.
Once upon a time there was a farmer who was named Jon who had a wife named Johana. Farmer Jon and farmer Johana lived in a little house on the edge of a woods. Their house was right beside a railway track. Every day, the train would run past farmer Johana and farmer Jon's house. One day farmer Jon decided to ride the train to town.
"I am going to town to buy some pigs" farmer Jon said to farmer Johana. "Buy some good, fat, healthy ones" said farmer Johana as she waved good-bye to farmer Jon. Farmer Jon rode the train to a town called Wolf Creek. There were no wolf at Wolf Creek. There was not even a creek at Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek is a funny name for a town with no wolf and no creek. But there were stockyards at Wolf Creek. The stockyards were right across the tracks from Wolf Creek Station. Farmer Jon knew that the stockyards were a good place to find pigs.
It took quite a long time for farmer Jon to find just the right pigs. Then he had to load them into a stock car. It was dark when he finished. So farmer Jon and his pigs took the night train back to the farm. The pigs rode in the stock car and farmer Jon rode in a passenger car. The next morning, the train stopped at the farm to let farmer Jon get off. Farmer Jon asked train engineer Willie Waikiki to please bring the stock car to the road crossing so that he could get the pigs off the train.
As farmer Jon brought his truck to the road crossing, train engineer Willie Waikiki brought the stock car there too. "Meet the new pigs." said farmer Jon. "Lets call them Bacon, Sausage and Hammy." said farmer Johana. Together farmer Johana and farmer Jon lifted the pigs one by one onto the back of farmer Jon's truck. Bacon, Sausage and Hammy lived happily on the farm. Every day they saw the train go by them. They knew that with farmer Johana and farmer Jon in charge, they would never leave the farm.
