Narrator tells us that he cannot bear a view on it and not in the least, when eye watches him. Then his blood runs cold. Vulture eye of old man makes hell from his life, so he gradually makes up his mind to murder old man to get rid of the evil eye forever. At this point we still can understand this man’s behaviour and we can think that he is normal. We consider the old man with vulture eye to be a negative character. We validate his beahviour and tauntly watch if his deed suceed so that he can finally live normal life. Man himself manifest his sanity by wise palnning of everything and smart and cautious execution of his plan. Last week before murder, he behaved to old man much more friendly and kindly like anytime before. The old man would be very suspicious if he would think of the man, like he is coming every night to watch him while he is sleeping. Seven nights, always in midnight he has came into old man’s room to proceed his deed, but he has never managed to do that, because his vulture eye has been always closed and he didn’t have nothing against old man and his conscience didn’t let him do that. Only eight night, when he came to his room, by accident and unwillingly he disturbed his sleep and waked him. At this moment we can see excellent description of old man’s thougths and feelings, figured by murderers reflections, who know them very well too and at that moment he even feels them. It is when old man sits on his bed in perfect dark and tries to woo himself that there is nobody in the room, but it doesn’t fare. When they had waited about hour, the man lets out single ray of light from lantern, to convince himself, that the old man sleeps. Then he first time see vulture eye opened. At this moment, he is on the top of sharpness of his senses and he can hear beating of old man’s heart. At this moment, as reader, I am beginning to be a little sceptic. But murderer satisfy us, that we mistake madness with sharp senses. He still stands calmly in the room. The beating of heart is more loud and murderer is afraid that, neighbour could hear that. My (readers) scepticism is growing with this. Then he doesn’t think any more and stifles him. Beating stops. Man hides corpse under floor and fair every little clue perfectly. This is his another argument, that he is normal. When policemen come, he is absolutely calm. He has nothing to worry about, because it is impossible for them to find corpse. He lets policemen to search all his flat and then he even invite them to sit for cofee to room where he performed the murder.
