Miss Congeniality is 105 – minute long comedy directed by Donald Petrie. The script was written by Marc Lawrence, Katie Ford and Caryn Lucas. Laszlo Kovacs was the director of fotography. Music was written by Edward Sheamur. The main characters:
Sandra Bullock – Gracie Hart a FBI agent, Benjamin Bratt – Eric Matthews, Michael Cane – Victor Melling, Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown) – Kathy Morningside. What was the movie about ?
Gracie is special FBI agent who is obsessed by her work. She is not very outgoing. She never wears dress. Even she doesn`t own hair brush. She has terrible table manners but in fact she is very smart and intelligent. Mysterios terrorist known as the Citizen announces by using a cryptic fax that he pans to disrupt Miss United Paegant. FBI has to stop him. This is case for Gracie because she is the only agent from agency who looks good enough in a bathig suit. She has to take part in MISS BIKINI competition. But there is problem. In spite of her name there is nothing graceful on here. But luckily there is Michael Caine on hand in the role of Victor Melling who is a beauty consultant. He has 48 hours to transform Grace from ugly duck to beautiful swan. Of course she is wonderful and young agent Eric Matthews is really delighted by her. Heappreciated only her intelligence and humour but he realized that she is marvellous, sophisticated woman. What happend at the end ? Gracie finds out that it is possible to be good agent and attractive woman.
My opinion?
It`s classical american boring comedy. Nothing new, nothing original. Very sweet and without good plot. I wasn`t really satisfied after I had seen it.
