The other men in the club couldn’t believe that someone could travel in eighty days around the world. Mr. Fogg bet with his friends that he would make it. They bet on 20 thousand pounds. When Mr. Fogg got home, he told Passepartout to pack all the stuff they might need on their way all around the world. They left that evening. On their way they had a lot of problems and difficulties on the road. They lost a lot of time in India, where he saved the life of young woman that was supposed to be burned by the public. Mr. Phileas met many interesting people on his way around the world. He met a beautiful woman that he fell in love with, also. Because Mr. Fogg left London right after the bank robbery, he was one of the doubtful. Detective Fil followed them on their way all around the world, and was waiting for the right time to arrest Mr. Fogg. The detective made trouble for them while he was trying to arrest them, which made them loose a lot of their expensive time. The servant Passepartout was quite clever and he helped his Lord in bad situations many times. He helped Mr. Fogg to keep detective away from them and didn’t let them get in any trouble. Despite all the troubles they had, they made their trip around the world in eighty days and they got home right right on time. Mr. Fogg got to the club a couple seconds before he was due and won the bet. Later on he proved that he wasn’t the criminal that robbed the bank and explained why he left the town right after the robbery. Mr. Fogg also brought a young lady, which he had met and got to know on the way around the world, back to London with him. She became his wife in the end of the story.
