The biggest ports (Rotterdam, Singapore, Kobe, Antverpen...) belong to the biggest economic centres of the world. The signification of the public naval transport decreases.
In public transport for a longer and middle distances the airborne transport is irreplaceable. It´s advantages are obvious -- it´s fast and safe even when there had been several tragical airplane crashes. The airborne transport is on a very high level in the developed countries.
To sum up, transport influences our lifes and environment more and more. It arranges better connection of particular places and areas, but on the other hand it destroys environment with its exhalations, uproar, crashes (of tankers) and extensive development.
