I described all these styles from mostly architectural and painting point of view, but for example music and literature also played their own role in periods of time and their changing according to style, changes in human, political, cultural life and changing in human thinking. Nowadays, when we look, for instance, at the USA, Great Britain and our country, Slovakia, the difference in perception of art, is not so uneven, in my opinion. It just depends on trends and their development in each country. But it usually goes following this way: what is favourite and attractive for viewers in Slovakia in these days, was or has been seductive in the USA and Great Britain few week or even months before. So, what are modern trends and styles of cultural life in whichever country around the world? If it is music, literature or performing arts, everything has its supporters and its opponents. It is only up to each of us, what we prefer. I am not able to say, or write, what are particular modern trends in art in USA, GB or Slovakia. In my opinion, it isn´t about trends. People can love art or some trend which was in Golden Age earlier, which is not famous in these days. Art is, after all, the creation of something beautiful, pleasant to hear or see, so it doesn´t matter at all, if what we like was created 5 days ago or 5 and more years earlier.

But if I should write some examples, I can mention music. In earlier years, people could listen to music which we nowadays call classical music. The famous artists, if they were of Classicism, Romantism, or whichever style, were W.A.Mozart, J.S.Bach and more and more others. In comparison, today´s people prefer rock and roll or so called pop music. And what are their idols? Madonna, Seal, Sting, Rolling Stones, these are only drops in a sea of innumerable number of musicians and singers. But my favourite and close area of art is the literature. I read mostly novels with a very good plot, but I also read stories of real people, stories which are not pleasant and enjoyable to read at all, stories full of pain and human misery, sadness and sorrow. You could ask, why, then, I read these books. Well, it is not becuase I am attracted by human accidents or tragedies, it is because these book are real, tell stories of real life, and in every book I can find something useful for me.

Anyway, for every person in the world the art means something else and different and I think it has to be like this. Everybody sees and find in art, any kind of art, what he/she needs and what he/she is interested in. Surely, it is all also about new trends and styles, but the basic idea of art is to cheer and delight people no matter how or which area of art with.
