This international metropole has a powerful history which you can feel from every corner and it hit you in front of your hearth whether you want or don´t. The small cafées, green parks, Le Champs Elysée, Eiffel Tower and breathtaking wiews can make an unforgettable impact. Paris, the capital of France is over 2000 years old and occupies 105 square kilometres in the north of the country. It is crossed by the river Seine which made an island in the old historical center. For example, the well-known cathedral Notre Dame is located on this island.
Along the river are two of the great set pieces of urban spectacle in the contemporary world. The first sweeps down from the Palais de Chaillot on the Right Bank, crosses the river to the Eiffel Tower, and continues through the gardens of the Champ-de-Mars to the 18th-century Ecole Militaire. The other begins at the Seine and marches up a broad esplanade to the golden dome of the Invalides. That´s just the small part of the beauty of this magnificent city.
You can also breathe the history in many museums, in The Musée d´Orsay, The Cluny Museum,...and in the most attractive, and resort museum in Europe - La Musée du Louvre, which´s great fame has even grown after the outcomming of the curious novel called The Da Vinci Code.
