In Vojvodina we call these babies pacpumhy. We normally do not put filling inside, but stretch the dough a bit so that cooked pampuch has a slight hollow at the top. Then we fill that bit with lekvar of egg white whipped with sugar. Do you know the fairy tale of the Gingerbread man? It is almost identical with Pampusik.
